Artist Trading Cards Project

 

an Art Exchange with students from Bejiing

With the 2008 Olympics being held this coming summer in Bejiing, China, teachers and students are invited to participate in the Olympic ATC Exchange. This is an international exchange of artist trading cards created to celebrate the "Olympic Spirit". The aim of this project is to provide an opportunity for students to learn more about the Olympics and the themes as represented by the five rings:

• Friendship
• Honour
• Peace
• Glory
• Fair Play

Cards with the Living Sky logo have been sent to the following schools:

Unity Public (entire school); Cutknife Elementary (entire school); Medstead (grade 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9); Kerrobert (gr 7 & 8); Cando; Unity Comp.

Cards must be sent to Sherron Burns at the Division Office by December 14, 2007. Students will receive their exchange cards in March 2008.

We sent away 357 Trading Cards to the folks organizing the exchange with students from China. What an amazing array of cards!
