Artists in the Classroom
Collaboration in the Arts: Sharing Our Ideas, Sharing our Stories
Presented with help from S'Cool, making DREAMS come true.
Think of this wiki as a shared online whiteboard. The Artists can share ideas using this wiki, making their plans accessible to each other and to the teachers in Living Sky School Division. Artists can add workshop ideas, links to other websites, post images, read what is happening elsewhere and add to or revise plans as they develop. Teachers are also invited to post questions, comments or ideas to the pages.

Theme: "Spirit of the Story"
What does this theme suggest to you? How does story play a role in the work we do in the Arts? The Arts allow us to communicate with each other in many different forms and through all kinds of media, including the body and voice. Stories may be personal, historical, narrative or fantastical - as we share the story, we share ourselves.
Our Goal
The goal of the this project is threefold:
- to bring artists into the classroom, to share their work, their passion with students and teachers
- to work in a collaborative manner that invites us to share with each other, and to include the teacher in the process
- to build confidence in teachers as they continue the work with students, so that the artist visit may have a lasting impact on classroom practice
