This page will be updated regularly to highlight Arts Education workshops and PD presented in our schools.  Schools may request topics as shown here, or introduce new ideas to suit your needs.  Call Sherron Burns at the division office (937-7914) to make your request or to brainstorm ideas.

 

 

Creative Drama

Elementary Process Based:

  • exercises and games to set the environment - trust, cooperation, listening, responding
  • talking about drama, how we feel in the drama, expectations and agreements
  • finding the focus through theme or story
  • representing our ideas through symbol
  • drama strategies to explore the ideas (mime, tableau, role, parallel play, dance, maps, meetings, interviews)
  • writing in role or journaling

Middle Years & High School Drama
